Miniature plug in circuit board allows racer to change the overall band resistance to best suit the type of motor being used. The
higher the listed ohms the slower the band response and the lower the listed ohms the faster the band response. The standard
networks are soldered and ready to install and have the same value resistance per band. The custom networks have miniature
sockets and various values of resistors that can be mixed and matched to get the desired band response. All H.O. and 1/32
controllers come standard with a 290 ohm network. As a comparison, our 15 band Fanatic controllers have 300 ohms of total
resistance.
Note: the network resistance, 290 ohms for example, is the resistance needed to control our transistor circuit and should not
be confused with the ohms rating on a typical Parma type resistor.

DD337 - Brake bypass switch kit. On-off-momentary switch can be added to the controller to bypass the brake fuse and
rheostat. This eliminates any extra resistance for improved full braking on non magnet cars. Can also be momentarily flipped
for maximum braking on just one tight turn for better lap times. $8
“E”MOTION CONTROLLER FEATURES
OVERALL CONSTRUCTION: Our controllers are built solid with heavy duty parts. All stainless and brass hardware. Our 3/32”
thick fiberglass frame makes our controller frame very stiff compared to others who use a 1/16” circuit board. This combined
with the industry standard Parma handle keeps our controller from flexing in your hand like other brands. Our circuit board is
nickel plated for durability and all controls are labeled for ease of use.
DESIGN SIMPLICITY: Other manufacturers will try to dazzle you with their complex and technical design. Trying to do the same
thing our controller does in a new way. What they do not tell you is how long will it keep working. Our transistor design consists
of wiper band resistors, a power transistor and a rheostat to control the overall sensitivity. That’s it! Our brake circuit uses a
rheostat. Simple! No capacitors, no programmable controllers, no dozens of electronic parts that have an opportunity to fail. No
huge repair bill to pay and loosing your controller for weeks while it is at the manufacturer being repaired. Any racer can repair
our controllers with little effort and at little cost. Durability and reliability are what Difalco Design controllers are all about!
TRANSISTOR/HEAT SINK MODULE: Our high amperage transistor with diode protection is mounted to a tiny 1” x 1.25” x 3/4”
heat sink about 3” below the handle. This means our controller is extremely lightweight for hours of racing but with enough
cooling capacity for the highest RPM motors and magnet cars.
POWER: Our heavy duty 14 gauge wire and large plated power contact ensures all the power gets to your car. We use a heavy
duty 14 gauge ground strap from the trigger that can carry more power then 18 gauge round wire used on most 1/32
controllers. We never use the very thin copper on the circuit board to carry power to the car, this can lead to loss of full speed
to the car.
BRAKING: A 25 ohm brake rheostat gives a wide range for reducing brakes for magnet cars. Unlike other designs, our
controller can be used on tracks without a brake post.
SENSITIVITY: Wide range sensitivity rheostat design gives you tremendous range to control any RPM motor on any voltage
track. 15 band wiper board gives you enough control for any technical track.
FANATIC FEATURE: Our exclusive feature! Our DD301 model has 15 small resistance pots that allow you to control the response
of each controller band. Simply tweak any bands response with a small screwdriver. While others boast about more bands we
prefer to be able to tweak our controllers power band for better response. With other designs you are stuck with only being
able to change the overall sensitivity. While you may have the right response on the first band the middle bands might be too
sensitive or too slow responding on other brands. Our Fanatic feature lets you tune the controller to your particular driving style
and the track that you are running. Ninco Championship team members George Bagley and Mark Azarraga tune their DD301
controllers higher bands for reduced response. This keeps the car from kicking out near the end of turns and scrubbing off too
much speed.
POLARITY: Our controllers are factory set for positive polarity but will work on negative wired tracks. Unlike other designs you
can switch our controllers polarity for negative tracks just by reversing two wires! Very simple. Optional polarity switch is
available for racers who regularly run on both polarity tracks.
“E”LECTRONIC RESET FUSE: Fuse will blow and disconnect brake circuit on direct shorts. Once hookup is corrected the fuse
will reset and the controller will work normally. Unlike other designs that use automotive fuses, our controllers' sensitivity side
will work normally.
TRIGGER PIVOT: Specially designed trigger pivot has an adjustable nut that can be tightened to keep trigger play at a minimum.
This keeps the controller feeling like new and the wiper button in constant contact with the wiper bands.
UPGRADE: Because of our separate frame/circuit board design when new technology or design comes out you can easily and
inexpensively upgrade your controller simply by replacing the top circuit board. Your Difalco Design controller will never be
obsolete.

for 40 years and has built high performance slot car controllers full time for over 15 years. Our knowledge and customer

Economy Controller
Parma's entry level hand controller, the Economy line is suitable for all types of HO Slot Car Racing. This is a well made hand
controller and should stand up to many years of use.
Parma's choice of the name "Economy" for this line of controllers is unfortunate. A better name would have been "Standard",
as these are well made controls that will last a life-time, and should they ever need repair, replacement parts are readily
available.
The Parma Economy hand controller uses a single-barrel wire-wound power resistor, and a completely enclosed controller
body. The handle is molded in tough Lexan, so if they do hit the floor they won't break. You could even step on the handle
without damaging it!

“E”MOTION CONTROLLER FEATURES
OVERALL CONSTRUCTION: Our controllers are built solid with heavy duty parts. All stainless and brass hardware. Our 3/32”
thick fiberglass frame makes our controller frame very stiff compared to others who use a 1/16” circuit board. This combined
with the industry standard Parma handle keeps our controller from flexing in your hand like other brands. Our circuit board is
nickel plated for durability and all controls are labeled for ease of use.
DESIGN SIMPLICITY: Other manufacturers will try to dazzle you with their complex and technical design. Trying to do the same
thing our controller does in a new way. What they do not tell you is how long will it keep working. Our transistor design consists
of wiper band resistors, a power transistor and a rheostat to control the overall sensitivity. That’s it! Our brake circuit uses a
rheostat. Simple! No capacitors, no programmable controllers, no dozens of electronic parts that have an opportunity to fail. No
huge repair bill to pay and loosing your controller for weeks while it is at the manufacturer being repaired. Any racer can repair
our controllers with little effort and at little cost. Durability and reliability are what Difalco Design controllers are all about!
TRANSISTOR/HEAT SINK MODULE: Our high amperage transistor with diode protection is mounted to a tiny 1” x 1.25” x 3/4”
heat sink about 3” below the handle. This means our controller is extremely lightweight for hours of racing but with enough
cooling capacity for the highest RPM motors and magnet cars.
POWER: Our heavy duty 14 gauge wire and large plated power contact ensures all the power gets to your car. We use a heavy
duty 14 gauge ground strap from the trigger that can carry more power then 18 gauge round wire used on most 1/32
controllers. We never use the very thin copper on the circuit board to carry power to the car, this can lead to loss of full speed
to the car.
BRAKING: A 25 ohm brake rheostat gives a wide range for reducing brakes for magnet cars. Unlike other designs, our
controller can be used on tracks without a brake post.
SENSITIVITY: Wide range sensitivity rheostat design gives you tremendous range to control any RPM motor on any voltage
track. 15 band wiper board gives you enough control for any technical track.
FANATIC FEATURE: Our exclusive feature! Our DD301 model has 15 small resistance pots that allow you to control the response
of each controller band. Simply tweak any bands response with a small screwdriver. While others boast about more bands we
prefer to be able to tweak our controllers power band for better response. With other designs you are stuck with only being
able to change the overall sensitivity. While you may have the right response on the first band the middle bands might be too
sensitive or too slow responding on other brands. Our Fanatic feature lets you tune the controller to your particular driving style
and the track that you are running. Ninco Championship team members George Bagley and Mark Azarraga tune their DD301
controllers higher bands for reduced response. This keeps the car from kicking out near the end of turns and scrubbing off too
much speed.
POLARITY: Our controllers are factory set for positive polarity but will work on negative wired tracks. Unlike other designs you
can switch our controllers polarity for negative tracks just by reversing two wires! Very simple. Optional polarity switch is
available for racers who regularly run on both polarity tracks.
“E”LECTRONIC RESET FUSE: Fuse will blow and disconnect brake circuit on direct shorts. Once hookup is corrected the fuse
will reset and the controller will work normally. Unlike other designs that use automotive fuses, our controllers' sensitivity side
will work normally.
TRIGGER PIVOT: Specially designed trigger pivot has an adjustable nut that can be tightened to keep trigger play at a minimum.
This keeps the controller feeling like new and the wiper button in constant contact with the wiper bands.
UPGRADE: Because of our separate frame/circuit board design when new technology or design comes out you can easily and
inexpensively upgrade your controller simply by replacing the top circuit board. Your Difalco Design controller will never be
obsolete.

Economy Controller
Parma's entry level hand controller, the Economy line is suitable for all types of HO Slot Car Racing. This is a well made hand
controller and should stand up to many years of use.
Parma's choice of the name "Economy" for this line of controllers is unfortunate. A better name would have been "Standard",
as these are well made controls that will last a life-time, and should they ever need repair, replacement parts are readily
available.
The Parma Economy hand controller uses a single-barrel wire-wound power resistor, and a completely enclosed controller
